BEST BALL – (TEAM or Partner) Each player plays her own ball from tee to green. On each hole the best net score for the team is recorded. Lowest net team score wins.
BEST NINE - At end of play pick your best 9 must choose 2 par 3's, 2 par 5's and 5 par 4's.
BLIND NINE – Play 18 holes. Nine holes will be drawn at random and only those 9 hole scores will count. Half of handicap will be applied.
BLIND PARTNERS - Partners are drawn at the completion of play. Using both handicaps,
net best ball on each hole is the team score. Lowest team scores win.
CHA-CHA-CHA (A) – (TEAM) One best ball on par 5’s, two best balls on par 4s, three best balls on par 3s.
CHA-CHA-CHA (B) – (TEAM) One best ball on hole 1,2 best balls on hole 2, 3 best balls on hole 3, 1 on hole 4, 2 on 5, 3 on 6 etc..Continue this pattern thru 18 holes.
CHAPMAN SCOTCH (2-person Team) - Both players tee off and then hit each other’s ball for the second shot. Select the best position ball after the second shot and alternate shots until the hole is complete. On par 3s, the team should choose the best position ball after the tee shot, and play that ball out by alternating shots. (40% of handicaps used)
CHAPMAN SCRAMBLE (2-person Team) - Both players tee off and then hit each other’s ball for the second shot. Select the best position ball after the second shot and scramble to the green (i.e. both players hit the third shot and choose the best position ball, etc.). Once the ball is on the green, both play until the ball is holed out. (40% of hdcps used)
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – Winners will be determined by using combined scores from both days of play. Club Champion will be the player with the low gross score.
COLORS - Prior to teeing off, each player selects her color (pink, yellow, green or orange). Attached to the flag on
each hole, will be a colored sticker. The net score for the player who is that color is used on that hole plus one additional net score.
CRISS CROSS – Player takes the net score from either the hole on the front nine or the corresponding hole on the back nine. (ie. 1 or 10, 2 or 11, 3 or 12, 4 or 13, 5 or 14,6 or 15, 7 or 16, 8 or 17, 9 or 18).
DEL SUD - An AWGA Southern District Tournament. It is a 2-day Net Electic Tournament.
EASY HOLES – Only the nine easiest handicap holes count for your score. Total Net scores for these 9 holes will be used.
FAIRWAY SPLIT - After all 4 players tee off, the team identifies which two balls landed farthest left and which two balls landed farthest right as compared to the tee box. The players with the two "left" balls are partners on that hole and the players with the two "right" balls are partners for that hole. Team score is the best net ball of each set of players on each hole.
HOLIDAY CHEEER – Par 3s will be played as usual. The rest of the holes will be played from the 100 yard marker. No handicaps used. No posting
LOW GROSS/LOW NET – (Individual orTEAM) Teams must count one gross score and one net score on each hole. The same person cannot provide the score for both gross and net. The lowest team score for the 18 holes wins.
LOW PUTTS - Only strokes taken on the putting green are counted. No handicaps are
used. Winners are the players with the fewest putts.
MARCH MADNESS - Before teeing off, each player (coach) selects three players from the day's roster to be on their team. You cannot select yourself or another player twice. You need not play with the golfers you selected. At the end of the round the event coordinator will add up your total net team score.
MATCH PLAY - (INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM - 2 BALL OR 4 BALL) - Each player (or team) plays against another player (or team). Each hole is won, lost, or tied based on net score. (Points are awarded 1, 1/2 or 0 per hole)
MYSTERY GAME - Game is a 'mystery'.
NASSAU - Winners for best front 9 score, best back 9 and best 18.
ODD COUPLE - Partner game One best net ball of Odd holes and Two on Even (or vice versa).
ODD OR EVEN – At the end of the round players elect to count “odd” or “even” holes. Players indicate on the scorecard their choice of odd or even. There are winners for both Odd and Even.
O.N.E.S - Only the net scores for the holes that start with O, N, E, or S count toward each player’s score i.e., (Holes 1,6,7,8,9,11,16,17,18).
OREO COOKIE - Winners will be the total low net of only the first 6 holes and the last 6 holes.
PAR 3 COURSE -Play the par 3's from tee box and all other holes from where they are marked.
PASS THE TURKEY – (TEAM) Before teeing off on each hole, players decide who is going to be the “turkey” for that hole. Her net score counts on the hole along with one additional person’s net score. Each player must be tllhe “turkey” at least three times. The team score equals two net balls per hole.
PICK 9 - Before starting play, each golfer selects nine holes to use for her score. You must have two par 5's, two par 3's and five par 4s. These holes must be circled on your scorecard before play begins. Game score is the total net score for those nine holes.
PLUM/SHORT COURSE - Regular play using the Plum/Short Course tees. Winners will be low net by flight.
PRESIDENT’S CUP TOURNAMENT – Combined Low Net scores from both rounds will determine the winner.
PRICKLY PAIR - best ball partner game. Committee will assign partners randomly.
PRO'S PICK - The Pro picks 9 holes to be used for your score.
PUMPKIN PUTTS - Team game. Total of the best 3 out of 4 putts on the green. Option: Wear a costume and get a gift.
QUEEN AND HER MAIDS - All players in the foursome tee off. The team then decides who the "Queen" will be on that hole. Her net best ball must be counted. The other three players are the "maids". One net best ball must be counted from those three players. Game score is those two best balls. Every player must be the "Queen" at least 4 times.
RED WHITE & BLUE -(A)Play 6 holes from 3 different tee boxes (6 Rust -6 Plum - 6 plum short)TH
(B) Team - Scoring is 2 best net balls on each hole. One red, white or blue score (person is indicated on the scorecard) must be used plus any other best net ball.
SCRAMBLE– (TEAM or Partner) Each player tees off on each hole. Team members select the best positioned ball and mark the spot. All team balls are played within one foot of this mark. Each subsequent shot is made in the same manner.
SHAMBLE - All tee off, pick the best one and everyone plays their own ball until they hole out. Count 2 best balls of the 4 some (use 90% handicap) - 2 person Shamble, Count 1 net best ball and use 80% handicap.
THREE BLIND MICE - Three random holes are chosen to be thrown out. Players
3's Be Gone - Low net game over 18 holes eliminating the four par three's.
STABLEFORD POINTS - Points awarded on your net score on each hole. 1 Bogey, 2 Par, 3 Birdie, 5 Eagle
STATE MEDALLION – A low gross and a low net winner will be identified determined on the basis of the best two rounds out of four qualifying rounds. To be eligible a player needs to play only two of the four rounds. The two winners will represent the SBRWGA in the state tournament.
STEP ASIDE SCRAMBLE - All tee off, pick shot you want to use, that person does not hit the next shot only the other 3 players, continue in this manner until you hole out.
SWEET SIXTEEN - throw out your 2 worst holes.
T’S AND F’S – Only the net scores for the holes that start with “T” or “F” (2,3,4,5,10,12,13,14,15) count toward the game score.
TELEGRAPH - An AWGA Southern District event. It is a one day net tournament.
THREE BLIND MICE – Three holes are randomly drawn to be thrown out. Players do not know which three holes until play is completed.
THROW OUT - Throw out 2 holes on each side. 2 on the front nine and 2 on the back. Revert back to par.
WACK N HACK - Four person team event. The 4 team members play their own ball for four individual scores. Two of those scores will be combined to make a team score on each hole. The two scores that will be used are the low ball and the high ball. So if players score a net 4,5,6,&7, the team score is 11 (4 +7). One exception for scoring: if the low ball for the team is a net birdie or better, the team gets to use 2 low ball scores for that hole.
TROUBLE– Points are awarded for bad shots – “Trouble”. Out of bounds or hazard = 1 point. In a bunker = 1 point. Failing to get ball out of bunker = 1 point for each stroke. 3-putt = 1 point. The lowest number of points determines the winner.
TURKEY SHOOT- Count only your net Birdies and Eagles.
WHINERS– Players can throw out one par 5 hole, one par 4 hole and one par 3. Handicap is used.
